Trialling techniques and approaches

I've decided to set up a space where I can keep track of the many "mucking around" sessions I have where I take old sketches etc that haven’t worked (or maybe even some that have) and do things with them to practise techniques and generally have a bit of fun while I play around with them with my Wacom tablet and Photoshop.

FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL

I need to make a companion piece to this, because the someone special I lost brought me so much joy and I need to let the memory of that consume me now, not the pain. I don't want her memory to be tainted with the heartache her loss created.

CAT OR MOUSE

This is a small 5 minute painting I did before cleaning up my art supplies the other day, using up a bit of paint. I liked the look so kept it, thinking it would make a fun exercise - is it a cat or a mouse? So I have spent the last 10 mintues transforming the picture into each animal, to see what one I think it really is...

Mouse love.
I had this piece sitting in my sketch book, I uploaded it with some other things and have been contemplating deleting it as its not one of my finer pieces but seeing the love these little mice have for each other I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of it. I tweaked it a bit, I’m not happy with the work as such, it hasn’t improved greatly, but so what if they are not perfect, they can live happily in their designated art folder and enjoy the special bond they have with each other uninterrupted for ever more. :-)

Yeah, I know, I seem to have a thing for mice at the moment!
